Random Acts of Stupidity of Marilyn & Wilma

The names have been changed to protect the guilty. Marilyn and Wilma are co-workers of The Dog and Cat. The Cast of Characters are explained in Post #2 (March 06).
In case you're wondering - we don't make this stuff up - nor do we exaggerate it. We would never come up with this on our own! We can't laugh out loud at work, so we use this as a way to laugh and vent some of the frustrations.
Do you also have to live/work with stupidity such as this? Leave a comment and let us know!

The Wilma Update

The reason Wilma left was because she wanted to set her own work hours and her boss required her to work her regularly scheduled shift. Marilyn thinks that Wilma didn't trust Fred and wanted to be at home to watch him.

Wilma told several people that she didn't want to work. She wanted to stay at home and draw unemployment. If she got fired she could get welfare, too. {Too bad, she lost the unemployment hearing and wasn't fired so she can't get welfare!}

In the meantime, she and Fred have split up (again). Fred left her and took Bam-Bam's jar of coins (around $1,000). Fred is back on drugs and is working for JoeJack!!! {We made sure it was mentioned in front of Marilyn that drugs are involved. JoeJack has a history with drugs... we wonder if it's turning into a "present" with drugs.}

Wilma has met a guy online from Greece who is working in Africa. He calls her, but she won't call him because it costs $6/minute. {This screams con man to us!}

Monica found all of this out at the unemployment hearing.

Something we forgot to include in our Ode to Wilma poem..... Not too many days before she stormed out of here she told Dog that she had quit wearing make-up about a month prior. She wanted everyone to be embarrassed by her. We hadn't even noticed the change.

Marilyn Strikes Again!

We were having the daily "what's for lunch?" discussion this morning and the topic turned to pizza. Wilma started talking about Fred's inability to eat certain pizzas because they make him sick.

Marilyn announces, "I can't eat apples unless I cut them up into little pieces because of my gums."

We were not that interested in Fred's pizza problem - but at least it related to the topic of conversation.

Wilma's Keeping Fred Out of Jail

We always know when Fred is calling Wilma - she uses the rooster ringtone for him. When he called today she reminded him to go to the courthouse and pay the child support on their son.

She probably gave him the money to go pay it!

We're assuming this is support that is still in arrears since she agreed at their last court hearing that he does not have to pay as long as they are together........ Since she provides most of his support she would have to give him the money to pay through the court system so they can return the money to her.

Sexy Wilma

When Fred calls the office for Wilma he always says "Wilma Flintstone, please."

We have no other Wilmas employed here. Wilma's real name is somewhat unique, so chances are slim that even Wal-Mart, with its 1.8 million employees, has someone with her name.

Speaking of Wilma and phones .... she has this annoying ring on her cell phone.... it's a rooster crowing.... not sure which is worse - this one or the Rod Stewart's "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy?" ringtone she used to use....

Now a segue into another story.... A few of us were standing around chit-chatting one day and someone said something about losing weight so they could be sexy like Marilyn (who wasn't present). Wilma put her hands on her hips and vamped, saying, "I'm already sexy." We think not, but you'd have to see her to judge that for yourself.

Update on Fred & Wilma's Court Proceeding

Fred paid the money that he owed and did not go to jail. Wilma insists that she did not pay it for him.

Wilma signed an agreement that Fred is not responsible for child support as long as they are together. It will resume with next break-up.

Fred sure came out on the better end of this deal. He has a free place to live and doesn't have to pay child support. Meals are cooked for him. He doesn't work except for picking up odd jobs here and there to make a little money.

Wilma's excuse is always "but I love him." She loves him but can't stop talking her fiancee who died about 3 years ago. She's not near as bad as Marilyn, but most any subject can be turned to her dearly departed beloved fiancee.

Is This the Beginning of the End....Again?

Fred and Wilma have a court hearing again today over child support. Fred has to pay child support since he and Wilma are no longer married, even though they live together. Fred does not think this is fair and does not want to pay the support. He rarely chips in on living expenses anyway.

Today is supposed to be a "pay or go to jail" - we will see what happens.

Over the weekend they began fighting again. She asked him for some money and he got mad. Will she pay for him so he doesn't have to go to jail? Does he have the money to pay it? Will he go to jail? Will they kiss and make up or will they split up AGAIN? Only time will tell....

Wilma Eats Her Words and History is Repeated...

Sequel to http://random-acts-of-stupidity.blogspot.com/2006/06/fred-is-crying-and-begging.html (and, if you want, http://random-acts-of-stupidity.blogspot.com/2006/06/i-love-your-motorcycle-not-you.html)

We're sad to report that Fred's crying and begging worked. Wilma took him back - in fact they spent that weekend in a motel about an hour from here. Then they started staying in a motel here in town because Wilma's mother wouldn't let Fred move back into her house. Wilma told her that if she was so worried about Fred and what might happen to Bam-Bam, then she should let him move in so she can keep an eye on him. Mom finally relented, but Wilma is searching for a place for her, Fred, and Bam-Bam to live.

Wilma also had the court date for child support continued. We asked her if she had noticed a pattern that every time a court date was imminent and Fred could go to jail that he always begs her to get back together. Her reply, "Yes, but I love him too much." We try to tell her that love in itself isn't enough. "But Bam-Bam wants his dad." "It's different this time." Whatever.

He offered to go work for "Bob" - but Wilma doesn't like "Bob" and told him he couldn't go work there. We told her that he's getting exactly what he wants. Court is continued so he doesn't have to pay or go to jail. He doesn't have to work. She's paying all of his living expenses.

We suspect that when these court dates for child support can't be continued any longer that Wilma gives Fred the money to pay then the state sends her the money back as child support from him.

We told her that when Bam-Bam grows up and starts treating women the way she's being treated that she can't say she doesn't know why - because she's taught him it's OK and normal. She said "He won't do that. He's a good boy." Yeah - right.

Our guess.... Off-again by end of summer at the latest.

Fred is Crying and Begging

Fred called Wilma last night. He was crying and wanted her to meet him, but she would have to strip down naked so he could make sure she wasn't wired to tape the conversation to use it against him later. (Wilma often tapes their conversations to use in their many court hearings - and taped this phone conversation as well.) Wilma told Fred that she knows the skanks he's been with since they split up and that he would NEVER see her naked again!!

He denies being with any women - even though they answer his phone when Wilma calls him.

He called her back pleading for her to meet him at the park to talk. Fred is having issues in his personal life and Wilma is pretty sure that he won't be around to bother her for awhile.

It's also time to go to court (again) over child support he hasn't paid so he's trying to get into back into Wilma's life so she will not pursue it. It's worked for him in the past. Hopefully she's learned and will not be so gullible this time.

Prequel to the Motorcycle Saga

Why did Fred show up at the end of the motorcycle transaction the other day? ....... Wilma knows that Marilyn has a big mouth and that JoeJack and Fred sometimes work together. Things that Wilma tells in confidence to Marilyn gets to Fred via JoeJack on a regular basis. Even knowing this, Wilma just can't help telling Marilyn stuff.

Wilma told us that she told Marilyn that she was selling her motorcycle but gave the time as a couple hours later than the intended meeting time. She did this so that if Marilyn told JoeJack about it he would tell Fred the wrong time. Sure enough, Fred showed up, but at the end of the transaction!!

Sounds like there's a lot of pillow talk going on! Wilma never confronted Marilyn about this, she just had the satisfaction of knowing she pulled one over on Marilyn, JoeJack and Fred.

If you haven't read what happened at the sales transaction, see http://random-acts-of-stupidity.blogspot.com/2006/06/i-love-your-motorcycle-not-you.html.

I Love Your Motorcycle, Not You....

Fred's stupidity...... Fred and Wilma are off-again. Wilma owns a motorcycle but cannot ride it herself. She decided to sell it. At the end of the transaction Fred showed up at her house (which is another story) begging her not to sell the motorcycle. He claimed that they could work out their problems and get back together. He told Wilma that their 5 year old son Bam-Bam loves the motorcycle and it would break his heart if she sold it. Wilma told Fred that if he couldn't love her without a motorcycle, then he couldn't love her with the motorcycle.

Fred walked over to the man buying the motorcycle (who witnessed the entire conversation) and told him that he was buying a piece of junk. Fred told the man that he had sabatoged the engine. Now come on, would you beg your ex-wife to keep a motorcycle that you had sabatoged so that you could ride it?? The man didn't think so and purchased the motorcycle anyway. (He checked it out and couldn't find anything wrong with it.)

Fred then proceeded to tell Wilma that he should just die because he didn't have anything to live for. What about their son and his other kids/grandkids? Are they not worth living for?

Does this sound weird to anyone else? Fred promises to love Wilma if she keeps her motorcycle and when she sells it he wants to die. Does Fred love the motorcycle more than Wilma? We think so.

Wilma Has Another Run-in with the Keystone Cops

Over the weekend Wilma had another run-in with the Keystone cops. She proudly recounted the story for the enjoyment of her co-workers.

It seems that she and Fred (on again/off again ex) were at it again. Wilma was quite drunk and fighting with Fred again. Fred called the cops (again) to her house. The situation difussed before any arrests were made this time.

Bam-Bam's (their son) counselor has told Wilma if she doesn't stop involving herself with Fred that she is in danger of losing Bam-Bam. Hasn't stopped her yet! She tells us that "they won't find out"..... Does she think that Bam-Bam is not going to say something about all the times he sees his Dad and the fights between his parents? Fred is supposed to pick-up Bam-Bam and take him to and from school. He hasn't done that or paid child support for months - but Wilma will take him out to dinner.

Wilma told us that she wanted to call the cop who responded to the call. When asked why, she responded that she was so drunk she couldn't remember what she said to him. She wanted to call him to see if she said anything stupid or if she propositioned him. She was told that was a bad idea so she let it drop......

Makes the whole taco drive-thru incident a little funnier doesn't it??

Wilma, the Arrest Prequel

As promised here is more info on Wilma's frequent run-ins with the Keystone Cops:

Wilma's ex (not the current on again/off again ex) had a restraining order against her. Wilma went to the tanning salon (located within the range forbidden by the restraining order) with a friend. The ex saw her vehicle and called the cops on her for violating the restraining order.

Wilma was arrested and taken in for booking. During this ordeal, Wilma was wearing sweatpants and had unknowingly started her monthly cycle. As she was not prepared for a visit from "Aunt Flo," she was in a very bad state. How embarrassing! Because she was under arrest, she could not go to her house to change her clothes and get the necessary feminine products. She had to wait until she got through booking to take care of her "problem."

The charges were dropped later that afternoon after it was verified that she was visiting the tanning salon and not harassing her ex.

The other memorable incident involves her on again/off again ex. They were having a loud domestic dispute at their home. Neighbors called the police. When the police arrived, they finally settled down and were told that if one of them left the area no arrest would be made. True to form, they were both stubborn and refused to leave. She because "it's my house!" He because "my stuff is here!" They were both hauled off to jail for disorderly conduct. These charges were also dropped.

Wilma seems to have the worst luck with law enforcement. She has been arrested 3 times (we can't remember the details of the 3rd time) with no convictions, and has had the police called on her MANY times. The last time was at the fast food restaurant recounted for you last week. Normal, sane people would not have been so belligerent that the police would have been called on them at a fast food restaurant. Is it worth risking arrest for 6 tacos????

I think we've all been wronged by a fast food worker, but have we ever had the cops called on us? Isn't there a point where you just give up and take it up with someone who can actually resolve the problem at a later time?

Wilma has a temper to match that fiery red hair!

Paging Security to Hallway 2 ... Security to Hallway 2

We've often had to increase security measures depending on the status of Wilma's marriage/relationship with her on-again/off-again ex.

This is a man whom she will let move in while she has a restraining order against him along with a pending suit for child support.
